Chicago Police say a 74-year-old church deacon and retired CTA bus driver, Willie Cooper, was shot to death inside a car in the 7000-block of South East End. Soon after, 41-year old Eric "Guitar" Davis was also shot and killed in a car just three blocks away. He was the son of noted blues drummer Bobby "Top Hat" Davis.
