Sadly, this dangerous cold snap we're currently experiencing here in Chicago has already claimed a victim.

A 48-year-old Humboldt Park resident was shoveling snow outside his home on the 1400 block of North Washtenaw Avenue Sunday night around 10 p.m. when he suffered a heart attack.

According to the Chicago Tribune, the man had a history of heart problems. He was transported to Presence Saints Mary and Elizabeth Medical Center and pronounced dead.

Remember, these dangerous weather condiitions are no joke! Don't go outside unless you have to.
