John Legend Is A Recipient of the 'Freedom Award'

Singer, songwriter, producer and one of my faves John Legend is one of a few recipients of a National Civil Rights Museum Award. The multi Grammy winner will receive the 'Freedom Award' for his contribution to civil and human rights.

Being aware of most of the community service, political and civic activities John Legend is involved in, I definitely believe that he his a perfect choice for this honor.

Also receiving the award is Gloria Steinem, a feminist writer and Nigerian human rights activist Hafsat Nabiola. The awards will be presented on Oct. 30 in Memphis, which is home to the museum.
