Maintaining Good Health Should Be Your First Priority In Life

Many of us live very hectic lives. Whether it is seeing about the family, working sometimes two and three jobs, being involved in different activities or belonging to several organizations, some of us are always on the move. But I have learned that sometimes I just have to say no to some things for the sake of my health.

I used to literally go somewhere seven days out of the week and I would think nothing of it. But it was until recently that I realized I may be doing too much. I feel just fine, I'm in somewhat of good shape and nothing appears to be wrong with me at all. But after a good friend told me "I need to stop doing so much" I listened.

Just because you aren't experiencing any physical issues doesn't mean that you are necessarily healthy. Before problems begin to start happening, you should take care of your body by getting lots of rest, exercise, drink plenty of water and eat well-balanced meals. Both mental and physical health are very important and I have learned that I just cannot do it all no matter how bad I want to.

Learning to just be still sometimes was, and is still difficult for me to do after being on the go for so many years throughout my career and even before that. I manage each day to scale back slightly because in the end my health is a priority because running myself in the ground would not benefit me nor the people I look forward to helping.
