The hometown Chi-Town girl Jennifer Hudson put her personal stamp all over the classic song "Memory" from Cats. The long-running stage play has been turned into a movie, which will hit theaters today. It's always great seeing a fellow Chicagoan on a national and international platform, and always J Hud does not disappoint with that voice.
The Cats musical is composed by the great Andrew Lloyd Weber, and the Broadway production premiered in London in 1981 and has been running ever since. The movie version also stars comedian and late night talker James Corden who is best known for his celebrity "Car Karoake." Pop stars Taylor Swift and Jason Derulo, Idris Elba and many more round out the cast.
