Lottery Comes Up Short

The state of Illinois is growing increasingly unhappy with the Northstar Lottery Group after they failed to bring in the profits they promised the state once again. After 3 years of under performing, Northstar is about $480 million behind what they had committed to bring to Illinois. This year alone, they posted a profit of $738 million, which is nearly a quarter billion dollars less than they had pledged to bring in.
