Chicago's Population Continues to Decline

For the third year in a row, Chicago's population has declined. According to the U.S. Census Bureau, an estimated 3,800 people have dipped out of the city over the past year. More and more African-Americans are leaving the city, immigration has slowed down and wealthier people are moving in. 

Although residents are moving to other places, Chicago is still the third largest city in the country, behind New York (no. 1) and Los Angeles. If people keep leaving, we may soon become the fourth largest city, with Houston taking our spot.
