Nothing fulfills my heart more than being able to teach and enlighten youth about taking a positive direction, believing in themselves and realizing that they can dream big dreams and make those dreams come true! I had the opportunity to speak with 7th and 8th graders at Johnson Elementary School of Excellence on Chicago's west side, where the students were fully engaged and asked some really great questions!
Let's listen closely to our youth, and take the time to mentor and teach them. It truly takes a village to guide them along their journey -- we have to move away from the stereotypes of young people and bring change in a positive way by helping to change their outlook on life.
