If you're planning on heading out of Chicago for the 4th of July holiday, make sure you travel with plenty of patience because the roadways in Chicagoland are expected to be extremely packed with traffic. According to AAA, Tuesday will see the most traffic, especially during the afternoon rush so my advice is that you give yourself more than enough time to reach your destination.
Most importantly, buckle up, no texting while driving and follow the rules of the road.
