Chicago has lost a dear man who had a wealth of knowledge when it came to music. Dedry Jones was the owner of The Music Experience on 73rd Street and also the host of "The Experience," which aired on WTTW, Ch. 11. The show was an event where Mr. Jones would have an intimate conversation with an artists and they would perform some of their biggest hits. I attended a handful of those events at the DuSable Museum and recently watched the show on TV.
Whenever I saw Mr. Jones he was always so kind and humble - such great characteristics of someone who was a powerhouse in the music industry. Mr. Jones was certainly a leader in shaping the rich history and culture of the music industry in Chicago.
