In The Midst of Chicago's Violence, Find The Peace

As I walked into work today in the chaos of all of the violence in Chicago, rushed commuters spilling coffee from their cups as they rush to the office, horns honking, people yelling because traffic is blocked because of Lollapalooza, noise pollution, a pregnant lady begging for change on the corner, and homeless men sleeping on the sidewalk ... I took a moment to find peace from some of the stresses of this world.

A butterfly started flying around my head and I followed it to a bush where it landed. I took a shot of it and thought about the beauty of nature and the tranquility it can bring us.

No matter what you are going through in life, please take time to stop and enjoy a moment of peace. You can do that by reading a book, walking along the lake, playing with your children, riding a bike or simply closing your eyes and saying a prayer.
