Protesters shut down Lake Shore Drive, arrive at Wrigley Field

Anti-violence protesters arrived at Wrigley Field just before 6 p.m. Thursday, with an hour to go before the Chicago Cubs' home game against the San Diego Padres. Earlier in the afternoon, the protesters shut down all lanes of Lake Shore Drive between Irving Park and Fullerton for 35 minutes. Chicago Police Department spokesman Anthony Guglielmi said there were "no arrests or issues." Organizers said they are marching to demand the resignations of Police Supt. Eddie Johnson and Mayor Rahm Emanuel. Organizers claim the officials have failed in efforts to lower gun violence. They also want the reopening of schools in certain parts of the city including mental health facilities.
