A mind is a terrible thing to waste and comedian Kevin Hart apparently knows the power of that statement. Through the Hart Charity Program, he is helping to donate $600,000 to scholars who will be attending 11 historically black colleges or universities this fall. The 18 students who will receive the scholarships were selected based on their academic record and their personal accomplishments.
Hart teamed up with KIPP Charter Schools and the United Negro College Fund to support the donation. Illinois is one of the eight states where some of the recipients are from.
