Looks like Mayor Lori Lightfoot is making her rounds to other cities. This Thursday she will be a guest on The Late Show With Stephen Colbert. The show was already taped earlier this week but that wasn't all the mayor was up to while in the Big Apple. She also met with New York's mayor Bill De Blasio and former New York mayor Michael Bloomberg. In addition, Mayor Lightfoot kicked off the Democratic National Committee's LGBTQ Gala while she was there.
She should be back home Tuesday evening from her NYC trip, and I guess we'll have to wait until Thursday to see how she will represent our beloved city of Chicago on a national platform. I'm sure she will do well. As you recall, former Mayor Rahm Emanuel was also a guest on The Late Show back in 2017.
