Chicago teen Khalil Everage stars in the new Netflix film 'Beats.' The south sider makes his film debut in the movie in which he plays a music prodigy who suffers from mental illness due to the loss of his sister, and meets up with an ex music producer played by Anthony Anderson.
The story takes you on an emotional roller coaster as the unlikely pair form a deep bond and relationship with Hip Hop being the common denominator of their passion. The movie was filmed in Chicago in parts of Everage's neighborhood, and takes you on a journey through Chicago's Hip Hop scene. The film also features Chicago rapper Dreezy and Dave East, a rapper from Harlem.
'Beats' is now streaming on Netflix.
