DuSable Museum has an entire day of festivities on Monday from 10am-6pm, including film screenings, storytelling, music, arts & crafts, re-enactments and a performance by Grammy winning Chicago poet, J. Ivy.

Chicago History Museum is celebrating on Monday as well, including activities for children and a re-enactment of Dr. King’s I Have A Dream speech… they’re also offering free admission to Illinois residents for the day.

“Too Hot to Handel: The Jazz-Gospel Messiah” takes over the Auditorium Theatre today and tomorrow.

SNL star and Chicago native, comedian Chris Redd is back on a hometown stage this weekend with Lil Rel, Langston Kerman and more in a comedy fundraiser for Chicago HOPES for Kids at the Park West. It’s tomorrow night, doors open at 7pm, showtime at 8pm.

Cubs Convention is this weekend at the Sheraton Grand downtown… & The Bulls take on the Cavaliers at United Center tonight…
