Protests are taking place all over the world and that's a good sign that people are standing in unity to fight against the oppression and injustice against black people in the United States.
But unfortunately racism is anywhere you find people with such hateful views, and it seems that things are really getting out of hand with race relations everywhere you turn these days. Everybody is on edge and situations are getting more heated by the day. Although there have been many peaceful protests, the newscasts are filled with very disturbing videos of inappropriate behavior by some officers, and in some instances visible police brutality.
This has been a very tough 10 days for our city and our country. I don't know what lies ahead but solutions need to be found to these problems real quick before even more lives are lost unjustly.
