Today’s Black People Magic celebrates a music industry icon who is as reclusive as she is revered: Sade!
The jazzy, smooth R&B songstress just announced on Wednesday of this week that she and her band are releasing a must-have collector’s edition of their biggest albums – all on vinyl – on October 9th.
The boxed set is called “This Far.” The band went back into the studio to oversee the remastered versions ofDiamond Life(1984),Promise(1985),Stronger Than Pride(1988),Love Deluxe(1992),Lovers Rock(2000) andSoldier of Love(2010).
The set is available for pre-order through Amazon for $179.98.
Still no word when Sade will put out a new album… but at least they got back in the studio for this, so there’s hope!
