There is more construction in Chicago, but what else is new? Construction has started with lane changes on the Dan Ryan Expressway allowing crews to build the primary lanes of the Ryan in both directions and southbound lanes of the Kennedy.
There won't be any lane changes, they'll just be moving them around, that's all. So please be sure to pay attention when you're driving near the Jane Byrne Interchange so you don't miss your exit! These re-configuration of lanes may be in effect through the end of the year.
The entire Jane Byrne Interchange reconstruction project is expected to be completed by 2020.
