A procession of firefighters and police escorted the body of a retired firefighter, slain in an attempted carjacking, to the medical examiner's office on the West Side Thursday night. Lt. Dwain Williams was killed in a shooting during an attempted armed carjacking in the city's Morgan Park neighborhood Thursday afternoon, officials say.
