When you wish upon a star your dreams can come true, especially if it's a Christmas Star. For the first time in nearly 800 years a star known as "The Great Conjunction" will appear just days before Christmas on December 21st.
According to experts at the Adler Planetarium the event happens when the planets Jupiter and Saturn appear at their closest. Conjunctions can happen about every 20 years or so but this particular observable form has not happened since 1226 according to EarthSky.
So on the night of the Winter Solstice grab your family and gather around and gaze into the sky and make a wish. I sincerely hope all of them come true.
