There will be no luck of the Irish in Chicago this year - at least not as it relates to parades. Unfortunately for the second year in a row both the downtown parade and the south side Irish parades have been cancelled.
No word yet on what the city is planning as an alternative to the parade, but hopefully there will be some type of celebrations where people can enjoy safely.
I'm pretty sure due to the pandemic there will be many more major events cancelled even as vaccinations are underway. Sorry guys, we're just not ready yet.
