Tax filing season officially begins today!
The reason for the delay gives the IRS more time for additional programming and testing of its systems due to tax law changes that provided a second round of economic impact payments and other benefits for those who file individually.
I know tax season can be pretty tedious but this year's filing is even more important because of the pandemic affecting most of the 2020 tax year. So buckle up and get those tax forms, W-2s, and all that paperwork together because the sooner you file, the better.
No word yet about a delay of the April 15th filing deadline.
