Well, better late than never.
It has been a few years since the original construction plan for the Obama Presidential Center. Finally, officials said that construction on the center started today in Jackson Park.
I'm hoping and pretty confident that this new attraction will bring people from all over the world to visit, providing jobs and other great opportunities for those on the south side. I'm excited to see the finished product, which probably won't be for a couple of years or so but it's good to know the process has began.
