Although the city of Chicago is in Phase 5 and "fully reopened," certain annual festivals will not be enjoyed this summer. What a bummer.
The Gospel, Jazz and Blues Festivals will not take place this year, but hopefully they will return in 2022. As of now there is no word on whether the Air & Water Show will happen either. But, Lollapalooza will be in full swing, and that is much bigger than all the aforementioned festivals put together!
But I guess they don't really generate money like Lolla, so therefore they had the kibosh put on them. Oh well, there are many community festivals and events that we can still attend, so let's make the most of this beautiful city. It's summertime Chi.
