Great news for the South Side! After years of sitting empty, the site of Michael Reese Hospital is close to becoming a $4 billion development.
The City Council is set to vote today on the project, which is proposed to include a 2 acre park called the Bronzeville Lakefront, a renowned medical research facility, senior housing, community center plus real estate for residential, retail and commercial uses.
The tax income from the project is estimated at $3 billion for the city and is expected to bring over 10 thousand jobs to Bronzeville.
