The Chicago Cubs released right-hander Jake Arrieta on Thursday, ending his second stint with the franchise. Arrieta pitched on Wednesday night, allowing 11 hits and eight runs (seven in the first inning alone) in four innings of the Cubs' 10-0 loss to the Milwaukee Brewers. He is a World Champion, A Cy Young Award winner and threw 2 no-hitters.
