One of Chicago’s own finally got a much deserved, big time accolade… the Chi-Lites received their star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame this week! (check out more photos below!)
Marshall Thompson, the sole remaining member of the 70’s soul group, was excited by the honor which was announced last year… from an effort spearheaded by Paul Tarnopol, son of the founder of Brunswick Records, the label that released most of the Chi-Lites’ work over the years, including “Have You Seen Her” and “Oh Girl.”
The Chi-Lites have continued to see success performing across the country and around the world and with samples of their hits being used in songs like Beyonce & Jay-Z’s “Crazy in Love,” as well as in commercials and on tv shows like “The Sopranos” and “Ozark.”
Here’s to Eugene Record, Richard Squirrel Lester, Creadel Red Jones and all the members who’ve been loved throughout the years.
& Remember to always celebrate your magic! Xo
