Thursday was an historic day as the Senate voted to confirm Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson, making her the first Black woman elevated to the Supreme Court. KBJ won’t start her new position until October, when the retirement of Justice Stephen Breyer becomes official after the court’s summer recess.
I don’t know about y’all, but that was an emotional moment for me – I literally wept when I said her name out loud for the first time (at my chiropractor’s office).
