Ian Manuel was charged and sentenced as an adult after his involvement in an armed robbery that left one woman shot. After spending nearly 3 decades of his sentence, 18 of them in solitary confinement, he won his release with the help of the Equal Justice Initiative. He tells his story in the book, “My Time Will Come: A Memoir of Crime, Punishment, Hope and Redemption.”
