What's Happening This Weekend: Music, Poetry & MJ The Musical On Sale

I can’t believe April is over this weekend… so let’s get into it!

The 24th Annual Poetry Fest starts this morning at 10am at Harold Washington Library. It’s a free event with readings, workshops and exhibitors all day long.

The One of a Kind Show is this weekend at Merchandise Mart, with over 300 booths of unique clothing, jewelry, art, furniture & more!

Catch the new exhibit “State of Sound: A World of Music from Illinois”… it just opened at Navy Pier on the first floor of Festival Hall. It showcases the achievements of artists from our great state, including Muddy Waters, Earth Wind and Fire, Chance the Rapper and more!

And looking ahead, tickets are on sale now for the Tony Award-winning “MJ The Musical” that tells the story of the making of Michael Jackson’s 1993 Dangerous World Tour, August 1st through September 2nd at Nederlander Theatre.

Whatever you choose, have fun and don’t let me EVER hear you say you don’t have anything to do!
