Chicago Public School students head back to classes on Monday and there are several free events today & tomorrow to help families get ready for the big day!
Our sister station WGCI is hosting Peace in the Streets Back to School… today from noon to 3 at St. Sabina Church, giving away 1,200 back packs filled with school supplies, plus free haircuts, tickets to concerts and Six Flags, cash prizes, and more plus a kids zone with bounce house, free food and entertainment!
Later today, 19-year-old entrepreneur Jaqueza Thomas hosts her 2nd Annual Back-To-School Bash at Nat King Cole Park on 85th & King Drive (361 E. 85th Street) from 2-6pm with free haircuts and hairstyling, raffle prizes, giveaways, bouncy house and rock climbing plus food, music, and more! All free and you can also register online.
Kids Off The Block in Roseland hosts their Back-To-School giveaway today from 1-4 pm at 11618 S. Michigan Avenue with free school supplies, resources to get vaccinations, plus raffles, giveaways, music and free food.
Tomorrow from 10am-4pm Heavens Beauty Bar at 87th and Ada (1343 W. 87th Street) has free haircuts and hairstyling for kids at their back to school bash plus school supplies, food, music, games, raffles and more!
