Expect to see lots of tourists and extra people out and about for this long Labor Day holiday weekend in our city… and get ready for extra traffic and long if you’re headed out of one our city’s airports.
The Chicago Department of Aviation (CDA) says that about 1.75 million passengers are expected to go through O’Hare and Midway over this Labor Day weekend, making this one of the busiest Labor Day weekends at O’Hare in its history.
Mayor Brandon Johnson said, “we are excited to celebrate with even more visitors from across the world… the labor movement in America was built on Chicago’s big shoulders, and I hope visitors find time to celebrate our rich history.”
