It’s the final weekend for Fright Fest at Six Flags Great America… today and tomorrow all day and into the night for frights!
Arts in the Darks’ Upside Down Halloween Parade is today from noon to 2pm down Russell Drive in Washington Park… it’s a free family friendly event where kids and their families join in the parade to show off their costumes. And the first 5000 kids get a free candy bag & goodies at the closing arches!
Check out these haunted houses to get in the spirit of the season this week:
- 13th Floor Chicago was voted one of the top 5 most terrifying haunted houses in the U.S. by USA today. Visit it through Thursday for the fright of your life at 5050 River Rd in Schiller Park.
- The Old Joliet Prison, Chicago’s only haunted house in a real prison (which was closed doors back in 2002), includes Zombie laser tag.
The 60th Chicago International Film Festival wraps up tomorrow at various venues across the city….
The 10th Annual Fall Fest at Lincoln Park Zoo this weekend… pick the perfect pumpkin, drink hot cider, eat s'mores and more. Enjoy musical entertainment and activities with free admission and ticketed attractions, including a fun slide, ferris wheel, and more.
The 2nd Annual 5K Will Run For Beer is today starting in Lincoln Park. The post-run brewfest will feature over 20 beers from 12 local breweries, plus tasty bites hot off the grill, live music and specialty vendors. Tickets are available for the Brewfest only if you don’t feel like working up a sweat today!
