Community Connect: Helping Pets & Children with Epilepsy

Community Connect is here to hook you up and help you out with resources you can use…

Get ready for a good show supporting a great cause later this month… check out the Generations & The Wise Guys benefit concert Friday, July 25th at the Des Plaines Theater. Chicago musician and philanthropist Rob Stepen founded the old school rock band several years ago and every concert they perform supports area non-profits and charities… a portion of the proceeds from this month’s event will benefit Joey’s Song, a volunteer organization dedicated finding treatments and cures for epilepsy for the last 15 years. Get tickets and info at this link and support Joey’s Song here.

Today is the Chicago Pet Health Fair from 11am-3pm at the 7th Police District (1438 W. 63rd Street, Chicago). They’ll provide free vaccines and microchips for your pets. Ticket distribution starts at 10am and they plan to serve 500 animals until supplies run out. You must bring your dogs on leashes or in carriers and cats must be in carriers, too.

Remember, our community moves forward in the best way possible when we all get the help we need and give the help we can!
