Trump Attends Opening of Mississippi Civil Rights Museum

24/7 News Source â€” President Trump is honoring the heroes of the civil rights movement.

Trump attended the opening of the Mississippi Civil Rights Museum yesterday.

"Here we memorialize the brave men and women who struggled to sacrifice, and sacrificed so much, so that others might live in freedom," the President said.

Two prominent African American lawmakers boycotted the event. House Democrats John Lewis and Bennie Thompson called Trump's appearance an insult to people who are honored in the museum.

Georgia's Lewis is a civil rights icon. A couple of hundred protesters greeted the President's motorcade outside the museum.
