President Trump tonight will reveal his pick for the next Supreme Court Justice. The top choices have been narrowed down to four and they include Thomas Hardiman, Brett Kavanaugh, Raymond Kethledge, and Amy Coney Barrett, who has ties to Illinois.
Barrett, a mother of seven, is 46 years old and the youngest of the nominees. She currently serves on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit, which is a federal court with appellate jurisdiction over the courts in certain districts of Illinois, Indiana and Wisconsin. She has only served less than two years, which has raised an eyebrow to some who feel as though she should have more experience. Before her Seventh Circuit role, she was a professor at Notre Dame Law School.
Will President Trump choose her to replace retiring Justice Anthony Kennedy?
