Whoa, this blue-eyed soul brotha definitely has it! Not only did he cover B.B. King's Classic "The Thrill is Gone," but he did it with so much soul and passion that if I were a judge I would have turned my chair around on the first note!
Chicago's own Jennifer Hudson, who is a judge, definitely wanted to be Michael Lee's coach, but he went with Blake Shelton which was probably a good move because I can hear some country in his voice and I know Blake will definitely work with him on bringing out that soulful country flavor. The new season of NBC's "The Voice" just started this week but already I'm hearing a lot of great talent. I'm looking forward to hearing more from Lee, he definitely has a unique style and voice, something so unexpected.
