If you're not quite ready for a tattoo or perhaps you are not trying to feel the pain associated with getting one, then you may want to consider a henna design. Henna is formed from the powdered leaves of a tropical shrub, and is used as a dye to color the hair and decorate the body. It comes from plants in the tropics of Africa, northern Australia, and southern Asia.
Getting henna is painless, it's as though the artist is drawing on your skin with paint. It is basically a temporary tattoo that washes off in a couple of weeks, depending on your skin type and how active you are. If you constantly wash your hands (or the area of the body where henna is), sweat, frequently wash dishes, etc. then obviously the henna will fade faster.
And getting a henna "tattoo" doesn't take nearly as long as getting a real tat. It can take anywhere from 5 minutes up to an hour or longer, depending on the complexity of the design. The henna does have to dry though, and that can take some time, especially if the design is very detailed. There are some beautiful henna designs as you can see on the video and where you place it is totally up to you. You can get henna inside the palm, on the back of the hand or anywhere you desire. Wherever you choose to get your natural tattoo, it will be beautiful.
