Michelle Obama Represents Chicago's South Side on the Grammys

Former First Lady Michelle Obama made a surprise appearance at the opening of the Grammys Sunday. She was joined by Lady Gaga, Jada Pinkett Smith, Jennifer Lopez and awards host Alicia Keys. When I tell you that was a lot of girl power on that stage ... man!

But the coolest part was when Mrs. Obama mentioned the "South Side" when talking about how music influenced her life. And if you're from Chicago you knew exactly what she was talking about although she didn't actually mention the city. We all know she is from the Chi, and I appreciate her for always showing love to our beloved city.

Michelle Obama is a rock star in her own right. No disrespect to anybody at the Grammy's, but she could have said what she said, dropped the mic and the show could have ended right there, that's how much love she was shown. I wonder if she would be interested in hosting an award show at some point? Hmmmmm ...
