Are American Rappers Being Targeted In Other Countries?

What is really going on with these altercations between random people and U.S. rappers visiting other countries? I'm sure by now you've heard the story about A$AP Rocky being detained in a Swedish jail following an altercation with some guys who were allegedly harassing him. The rapper and his entourage reportedly tried to ignore the men as they approached but A$AP and his crew had to defend themselves and were ultimately jailed as a result.

President Trump, with the suggestion of Kim Kardashian, Kanye West and other celebrities are chiming in and trying to get him freed, but the Swedish Prime Minister says that is up to the judicial system. Wow.

Now comes word today that rapper Future's bodyguard was knocked out cold after getting into it with some men who allegedly asked to take a picture with Future. When he declined the men allegedly began to make racist comments and that led to the rapper's bodyguard getting into it with them before he was hit in the head with a rock.

Are our American rappers being targeted for some reason? Or should I ask are black artists being targeted specifically? Not to make this a racial thing, but it just seems coincidental that these black men are being assaulted while they are minding their own business. Afterall, people have the right to not take pictures or stop and interact with people if they don't want to. That does not give a fan or anyone the right to fire back. I will say this though, as a celeb that is what is usually expected from your fan base, but unfortunately given certain circumstances that may not always be the case.

Not only do high-profile people have to be careful here at home, but now it looks like traveling abroad may become a concern for many too.
