Mixing Luxury Labels Is Way Too Much

So I was scrolling through Instagram the other day and came across this ad featuring a woman wearing a Gucci skirt and holding a Dior bag. My first reaction was "NOOOOOOO! You can't do that!" But then I thought about it, it doesn't really look so bad ... or does it?

Are you one of those Foxxy Fashionistas who will pair luxury labels? Like, would you wear Gucci and Louis Vuitton together? Call me conservative when it comes to doubling up on the designer labels, but I can't do it. I think it's already a bold statement when wearing such items in the first place, and if you wear two and three different labels at the same time it is overkill.

Now the only exception to that rule would be if there are no logos or insignia's on one of the articles I'm wearing. For instance, I would wear a brown Gucci skirt with the Gs all over it with a pair of Louis Vuitton loafers if they were plain brown, with NO monogram LV's anywhere in site. Or, I would wear a monogram Dior bag with a pair of Hermes shoes, but again no label on either the shoes or the bag could be showing at all.

But when it comes to fashion anything goes, it is just a matter of your personal style. Who knows? Maybe one day I will be a bit more daring and put two luxury labels together, but for now I will rock the same designer, one outfit at a time.

And just for the record it is absolutely disrespectful to pair Gucci and Louis together, period!
