John Legend Pays Tribute To Earth, Wind & Fire at Kennedy Center Honors

The world knows that John Legend is one of my favorite artists -- ever. And once again he did not disappoint as he paid tribute to one of the best bands to ever exist. At Sunday's Kennedy Center Honors, one of the honorees included the legendary band Earth, Wind and Fire, and John kicked off their musical tribute with their hit "Can't Hide Love." He sang the song with that EWF feel, but put his own flavor on it and boy was the audience loving every second of it!

And believe me, EWF members Philip Bailey, Verdine White and Roland Bautista approved with the nodding of their heads and big smiles on their faces as they sang right along with him.

Earth Wind and Fire's music has been blessing speakers everywhere from the first time they hit the scene in the early 70s until now. The music is timeless and has substance and meaning, even giving hints of spirituality at times. It's just that good. I'm often amazed at how this band has transcended age, race and musical tastes for decades and they are still going strong.

A well-deserved recognition to one of the best bands I have ever heard in my life.
