Vanessa Bryant Asks Judge For Quick Action Amid Coronavirus Pandemic

Vanessa Bryant is trying to get her family's affairs in order as quickly as possible amid the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.

According to TMZ, V recently filed court documents to speed up her previous ask to adjust her late husband Kobe Bryant's trust to include their youngest daughter Capri and to appoint a guardian ad litem for her two daughters — Bianka and Natalia — as well as another for Capri.

Vanessa is saying the request is urgent "due to court closures caused by the global pandemic."

As previously reported, Vanessa has asked a judge for Kobe's trust to be amended to include Capri, who was born after the most recent trust document was drafted and signed.

As shown in the legal documents, which were obtained by TMZ Sports, Kobe first created a trust to provide for Vanessa and their children in 2003. Over the years, it was amended several times, most recently in 2017. While the late athlete appeared to amend the trust every time he and Vanessa welcomed a child, Capri was only born nine months ago. No one could have predicted the death of Kobe and his 13-year-old daughter Gigi, who were among the nine victims in a tragic helicopter crash in January.

Vanessa is asking the judge to include Capri, under the grounds that it was Kobe's intent to provide for his children, which he even states in one on the documents, TMZ reports. According to the trust agreement, Vanessa, Natalia and Bianka can "draw from the principal and income in the trust during Vanessa's lifetime, and then her kids get the remainder upon her death. Vanessa wants to include Capri in that distribution," according to the outlet.

A hearing is reportedly scheduled for next week to see if Vanessa's guardianship request will be approved. A judge will likely grant the amendment, TMZ reports.
