Illinois' Rent Moratorium Extended Through Mid October

If you are worried you may be evicted because you cannot afford to pay your rent due to the pandemic, there is some good news.

Gov. Pritzker has extended the statewide eviction moratorium for another 30 days, giving many residents of Illinois a chance to stay in their homes for at least another month. The eviction moratorium prohibits the filing of residential eviction actions and the enforcement of residential evictions in Illinois until October 17th.

This is a trying time for all of us. Many have lost their jobs, are furloughed, cannot find work and cannot afford to pay their bills. But take each day as it comes because things will eventually get better. There are resources that can help, just keep the faith and remain hopeful.
