Chicagoans Are Stockpiling Ahead of Possible Stay At Home Order

Chicago and suburban Cook County are under a stay-at-home advisory for the next 30 days but if the increase in coronavirus cases continues, there may be a stay-at-home order issued.

We don't want that, do we Chicago? But apparently many people think that may be the case because if you go to the stores you will see that there is another wave of stockpiling. Toilet paper, paper towels, cleaning products and meats are scarce in some stores. But officials say there is no need to "panic shop" because there will be a constant flow of food to grocery stores and markets.

Even with restrictions, going to the store to buy food is considered an essential trip so there is no need to go buy everything off the shelves, you can still do your routine shopping just as you would normally.

Some retailers are cracking down on hoarders though, limiting purchases to just two, and in some cases one item of certain products.
