Chicagoans Step Up To Help Those In Need And I'm So Proud

Whether picking up garbage on Chicago's city streets, or passing out warm meals to families, I am so very proud of Chicagoans who are helping each other. Every day it seems as though each newscast is reporting that an organization, church, non profit or corporation in some way is providing for those in need. And at the center of these events are countless volunteers who serve with a smile.

This pandemic has really affected so many people financially in Chicagoland and beyond. On top of that, the holidays are usually a time when people in our communities are served, and I want to say thank you to every single volunteer who has spent any amount of time helping others.

Giving of your time says a lot about character and integrity. Keep volunteering because what you do when no one is looking is the most impactful. But just know somebody is always watching and very appreciative of what you do. Again, I say thanks.
