IRS Extends Start of 2021 Tax Season

As if there wasn't a ton of things we have to think about these days. Now the IRS is encouraging Americans to file their taxes electronically this year - especially if you plan on receiving a refund.

Why? Well due to the pandemic the agency is expecting a backlog of about 7 million unprocessed paper returns from last year. Ugh ... this is going to be a bit messy.

But there is good news! Yup, there is always light at the end of the tunnel and the IRS is delaying the start of the 2021 tax season to Feb. 12. this year. Go ahead and use that extra time to get all those papers ready, you can do it!
