Chicago’s South Shore Drill Team Represent At Inauguration Parade

Chicago is once again a part of something big. Real big. For the second time the drill team has an opportunity to participate at the presidential inauguration. It’s sort of a full circle moment for the drill team, who performed at the inauguration of the nation’s first black president, Barack Obama. At that time President Joe Biden was vice president.

Now years later, the team is performing for President Joe Biden and his vice president is the first black woman to hold the position. Amazing.

Beginning at 2 p.m. the South Shore Drill Team will be a part of the virtual inauguration parade. I’m so proud of the youth who represent our city so well.
