To my and probably many others' surprise, somebody quietly turned on the faucet at Buckingham Fountain. After being shut off for months because of the pandemic, the attraction is spouting water again and it is such a beautiful sight to see! I've been driving by for months waiting to see the water flow and now it's back.
Chicago is slowly getting back to being the vibrant and bustling city it once was, and the fact that Buckingham Fountain has been turned back on tells me residents and tourists will be visiting the fountain in droves in the coming days.
For now I'll just admire its beauty from afar, I'm going to continue to play it safe for a while.
